Making metal literally requires us to melt down metal and pour it into a mold made of casting sand. There can be little flecks of dirt, or other things, put in the sand. And that is where vibrating sieve comes in! It allows us to sift the sand out of the dirt in order to get pure sand that we can create our metal concenctrates from.
How does it work? Vibrating sieve has a screen that vibrates and moves the sand. The dirt and other debris are too large to fit through the mesh, so they stay on top and the clean sand runs through. Working like a giant sieve to wash sand from dirt!
Once the sand is clean we need to ensure that the sand particles are uniform in size. Why is that important? If the sand particles are different sizes, the metal object we create may be weak or misshapen. And that is where the vibrating sieve helps us out once again!
The vibrating sieve consists of several screens with small holes at varying diameters. As the sand flows through these screens, the particles that are too large or two small are filtered out. This allows us to ensure that all of the sand particles have the same size, allowing us to create metal objects that are strong as well as beautiful.
So we want the sand to be tightly packed around the hot metal when we pour it into the mold. However, if there are any gaps or air pockets in the sand, the metal object may not desire to turn out perfect. Couple this vibrating sieve helps us get out any mud or minor particles left in the sand, before we stuff it in there tight for a solid metal piece every time.
The typical use of the vibrating screen is to easily and quickly simulate the manual sand work of sanding. This also means we can produce more metal objects in a shorter time frame, which is good for business. So this is how a vibrating sieve allows us to strive faster in our foundry that allows more work to be done!
For creating metal pieces, we also require the sand to achieve the right density for molding. What does that mean? It means we need to cram the sand right up against the hot metal so as it cools it hardens into the shape we want. So, how do we get that sand density just right? With screener structure vibration technology!
